Anecdote

A co-worker was wearing a t-shirt today that said “Socialist” across the front of it in bright red letters. It prompted me to search out the simplest way to express the beauty of capitalism. Especially when opposition against capitalism is part of daily conversation in the media and apparently at my work place. I found them while reading Voices of Reason, feel free to memorize and use whenever necessary.

“In a free market every individual has an absolute right to act in the economic realm as he judges best, with force being outlawed. The separation of state and economics liberates the greatest power on earth: the individual human mind, with all its creative potential to sustain and enhance human life.”

I wish I was there...

9/12 March on Washington. I'm so proud.

Top Ten

A few months ago my brother-in-law did a post of the top 10 most beautiful places he had been to. He encouraged readers to put together their own list. Here was my list at the time, and I think it remains the same today:

1) Mt. Rushmore
2) Havasupai Falls
3) Lake Powell
4) Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany
5) West Bay, Roatan, Honduras
6) Manhattan Island, NY
7) The BYU Jerusalem Center - including its view of the old city
8) The Great Pyramids at Giza
9) Rome in its entirety
10) Newport Beach

It caught my attention was that 7 of my top 10 are man-made. How Ayn Randish. Anyways, I visited my #2(God-made) again over labor day. Let’s see if you agree.

I'd love to hear your Top 10 or Top 2, whatever...

The Truth.

"America was targeted for attack because we're the brightest beacon for freedom and opportunity in the world. And no one will keep that light from shining."
-George W. Bush 9/11/01

You got that right, "W".

Market Shift

I don't pay to see animated movies... until now.You create a demand when the supply includes a combination of my favorite author as a kid, Roald Dahl and my favorite movie maker as an adult, Wes Anderson. add a little Bill Murray. I'd say fantastic!

Friendly Reminder

I just needed to send out a little reminder to my followers. The government doesn’t produce or pay for anything. It depends on tax revenue from the private, free market to accomplish anything. As politicians criticize capitalism and big business they need to remember that they wouldn’t have the power or the means implement anything without the beautiful machine of Capitalism.

Also, I found Captain Capitalism on a day when I really needed him
