Second verse reads:
"Freedom and Reason make us men. Take these away, and what are we then?"
Just as I was thinking about how much I liked this hymn, the girl next to me leaned in a said "I never liked that song", this, after she had referenced Obama's ability to unite people during her lesson in an earlier meeting. So misguided.

Poll
Rasmussen Reports: Only 53% of American adults believe capitalism is better than socialism.
If that isn't reason enough to keep blogging.

Looking forward to...
I know this is old news, but I haven't even mentioned it on the blog. Andy Richter will be reunited with Conan when he begins his Tonight Show Career on June 1st. Double the fun and double my excitement.

I nominate
I nominate Penn Jillette for the cover of "Poof" magazine. Any seconds?
Next to Gob Bluth, this is my new favorite Magician. Check out what he had to say on Larry King Live in response to Larry's over used question "Penn, do you want Obama to succeed?"
Penn: " If what succeeding means is taking away -- giving too much of a safety net so that we can't live like Vegas, there's no reason to gamble if you can't lose, and I think it's really important that people have a chance to win and to fail, and I think too much of a safety net, it's just less fun to live."
"I just think that individuals are more important than a whole kind of groupthink and that individuals can do more than a top down kind of thinking. I don't think the government can solve all our problems or should try."
of course Larry's response "...but somebody's gotta think for the masses." idiot.
I'll never judge a professional magician again.
