Egypt rocked my world.

I didn't realize what a hit posting personal pictures on my blog would be. I guess it is a nice change for those of us who want to blog stalk without reading. Myself included.

We spent the last 4 days of our trip in Egypt. Cairo was first.

Mohammed Ali Mosque (Not the boxer)
View of Cairo (This city is huge, giant, crazy crowded with no traffic rules)
Giza (Pyramids and Camels, just how your picture it)After Cairo, we flew to Luxor for our final days

Valley Of the Kings (This is where King Tut's tomb was found, along with 60+ other tombs)
Rames II (This guy is all over the place)

The Nile

Everything in Egypt; Cairo, the Pyramids, Karnak Temple, and the tombs are bigger and better than you could ever imagine. The History and preservation of this civilization would blow your mind. Go there.

Isreal Pictures

Here are some pictures from our trip because there are like 3 people interested. And I aim to please my robust audience. After flying into Tel Aviv, we spent 5 days in Galilee.

Sea Of Galilee (It is actually a lake)
Mount Tabor
(The site where Christ was transfigured before Peter James and John) Mount of The Beatitudes Merry Christmas From Palestine. Jericho specifically NazarethWe then spent about 8 days in Jerusalem.

Dome of the Rock
The Western Wall
(We happened to be there on Christmas day and during Hanukkah)
Damascus Gate
(This is where you enter the Muslim Quarter of the old city) This is what the old city looks like when all the Arabs are on strike Masada
(with the Dead Sea in the back ground) Mud Bath in The Dead Sea. If you are at all thinking about a trip to Europe; Rome, Paris, Athens... Think Again. Go to Jerusalem! It blows any European city away in history, character, culture, and price.

How I feel.

"Not Just White... Conan-White!"

Unite Us!

This is how the immaculate inauguration ended:

Rev Joseph Lowery's benediction

"We ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can stick around. When yellow will be mellow, when the red man can get ahead, man; and when white will embrace what is right. That all those who do justice and love mercy say Amen."

I thought we had chosen right. We elected The Chosen One.

Regardless of how completely offended I am... what in the world?? This is what he came up with "When yellow will be mellow" Do prayers have to rhyme?

Cherish

I was catching up on my Late Night the other evening, and they mentioned that there are only 23 episodes left (I am researching the exact number, so we are all emotional prepared). This made me realize 3 very sad things:

1) I will never be able to see the show live again
2) Conan is taking like 3 months off between the end of Late Night and when he starts his new job
3) The last nights of Late Night With Conan O'brien have begun.

So, Be prepared for a couple of things. Regular tributes to Conando, and a "Last Nights of Late Night" countdown.

I'm getting depressed just thinking about it. So, Cherish every moment. Every crude, quirky thing Consie does for the next couple of weeks.

Haven in the Middle East

I have come up with some ways to share of my experiences in the Middle East while staying true to the blog purpose.

The first is giving praise to Isreal, which I will call a haven in the Middle East. With Anti-Israel governments, attitudes, and regimes like Hamas, surrounding them, they have maintained a free, westernized, beautiful place for their citizens and tourists like me to enjoy safely. It is evidence of strength in economic freedom and human development amongst people who condemn and criticize it. My visit there was enlightening in many respects, but most importantly (for this blog), my support of the Israeli State.

More to come… with maybe some pictures.
